The Falcon has three claims to fame:
1) It reckons to have the longest continuous bar in the UK; Guinness World Records backs it up.
2) Part of the bar was supposedly designed by MC Escher.
3) People who mix-up Clapham Junction with North Clapham might end up in the wrong bar (good, though it is).
The bar is indeed very long, curling round a full 360 degrees. This makes ordering quite a challenge — choosing the most strategic spot to catch the bar staffs' eyes is no easy feat. This is the closest pub to the busy station entrance so attracts quite a footfall — making the 'getting served' problem still harder. Our tip is to visit late afternoon if you can, when you'll find a spacious, relatively quiet drinking den with extravagant furnishings. This being a Nicholson's pub, the beer range is excellent — 12 cask pumps were on the go during our most recent visit.
