This pub is included as one of the entries in the Londonist Book of Pub Crawls.
Like the long-gone consort of same name, The Albert is respectability and charm personified. The olive exterior and tasteful main bar are just the half of it. Round the back, you’ll find a sizeable conservatory space and the finest beer garden in the area. Like any pub in these quarters, there’s a good chance of spotting a minor or major celebrity. Beer is by Greene King, which won’t be to everyone’s taste. But this remains a non-pretentious, no-nonsense pub in a very exclusive part of town. It never seems to get too busy, which makes it a good place to start a pub crawl.
