Trinity Arms

Trinity Arms

This pub has been voted by our readers as the best in Brixton (along with the Duke of Edinburgh). See the full list of winners here.

A Young's pub in the backstreets of Brixton, the Trinity Arms is a relaxing and cosy option, with a handsome interior and decent-sized beer garden (described as 'hidden', but judging by its popularity, not hidden very well). The website tells us that the pub is 'named after the Trinity Asylum in Acre Lane which was founded for poor women who professed belief in the Holy Trinity'. No religious declarations are necessary in here, however, just a love of a relaxed pint in decent surroundings. It's not exactly your typical Brixton pub, but sometimes you need to get away from all the bustle.

Oh, and if anyone spots the pub cats, let us know. They were hiding on our last visit.
