This pub was nominated as one of the best in Clapham by Londonist readers.
A bit north of the main Clapham strip, the Landor has a slightly different feel to its ample competition. A bit more relaxed, somehow. It's a prime example of how to balance the needs of diners and drinkers, with plenty of room for each and neither group feeling alienated. The front bar offers plenty of sturdy wooden tables, good for sampling the menu of comfort foods and small bites. A pool table lurks nearby. Round the back, you'll find a den of comfortable sofas for a more intimate gathering. A rear beer garden completes the picture, with plenty of space. The beer choice is average, but well kept. The most exotic tipple was Gem from Bath Ales. A small cocktail list at £6 a pop seems like good value. The Landor fringe theatre is located on the first floor.
Quiz night is first and last Sundays. Live music on Friday, DJs on Saturday.
