Queen Adelaide was the consort of William IV, and therefore the Queen immediately before Victoria. Appropriate, then, that Adelaide and Vicky should exist in pub form, in close proximity along Uxbridge Road. The nearby Princess Victoria is the more remarkable, but Adelaide also has her charms — most notably the gorgeous green tiling on the facade.
It's a busy gastro-tending pub, with nearly all tables taken on a Monday night. Other than that, there's not much more to add. It's a perfectly competent place, with all the furnishings you'd expect of a food-focussed pub... the typical Metropolitan Pub Co. venue.
Quiz night is every second Monday.
