Another entry in the Fuller's chain, the Wheatsheaf is all wooden interiors and olden-days charm. With the real fire for winter and a small beer garden for summer, it has all the bases covered. Food and drink is typical of Fuller's — thoroughly decent if not exactly exceptional. A selection of bons mots decorate the walls, adding an element of humour to a very solid pub.
