A gorgeous old riverside boozer, The Dove is one of the few pubs worth travelling across town for, if you don't happen to live in the 'hood.
Inside it's all ye olde worlde charm, with aged beams and cosy corners. One room claims to be the smallest bar in London. The other rooms ain't too big either. At busy times (which is most times), the back room is reserved for diners, with drinkers having to huddle up in the front rooms.
Fortunately, this place has a quirky multi-levelled riverside terrace, one of the best spots in London for watching the mighty Thames flow by. It's a Fullers house, so beer and food is reliable if a bit predictable. Look out for seasonal tipples if you fancy something a bit different.
