Remember how one of Battersea Power Station's iconic chimneys is being converted into a glass lift and viewing platform?

Well, it wasn't a dream — and now we're one step closer to the reality, thanks to the release of a 360° interactive 'bubble image', below.

While playing around, look out for Chelsea Bridge, the roof of Victoria station, the BT Tower peeking out from Fitzrovia, the London Eye arching over the Houses of Parliament, and — oh yes — the three other power station chimneys*.

The glass-topped chimney is part of a new experience coming to the revamped power station, starting out in Turbine Hall A, with an exhibition celebrating the building's past.

After the history lesson, around 30 people at a time will be whisked in Wonka-esque fashion 109 metres up, into the tip of the north-west chimney — for some pretty stunning views.

The experience is set to open sometime next year, with prices yet to be revealed. Maybe you'll get there via the Northern line extension, set to open later in 2021. Good things are coming, London. Good things are coming.
