Paddington Bear's latest adventures see him in the money — quite literally — as he appears on the new 50p coins.

The fictional bear features in two new designs for the silver coin, one showing him doffing his cap to Wren's dome at St Paul's Cathedral, the other depicting him outside the Tower of London.

The coins will enter into circulation in the next few weeks, so check your change. If you're an avid Paddington fan, you can get your hands on as yet uncirculated versions of the coins on the Royal Mint website.

A gold collectors' edition version of the coin — priced at £850 — has sold out, but versions of the bear waving a flag outside Buckingham Palace are still available. See the full Paddington range.
