The second — and final — batch of tickets for the New Year's Eve fireworks on the River Thames in central London goes on sale at 12pm on Friday 2 December.

Around 50,000 more tickets will be made available, after the first batch of 50,000 sold out within five hours back in October.

The explosive event is the hottest ticket in town for NYE, and perhaps more coveted than ever, given that the last two displays weren't public events, due to Covid.

Fireworks will be set off at midnight in front of the London Eye, with Big Ben chiming to mark the start of the new year. The display will also be shown live on BBC One and iPlayer for anyone who can't be there in person.

Tickets for New Year's Eve fireworks in London

Tickets are required to watch the event; they cost £15 each, and will be available from noon on Friday 2 December 2022. There's a maximum of four tickets per transaction.

There are six different ticketed areas — you'll need to choose your area when you buy your tickets, and you won't be able to move between different areas on the night, so choose wisely. They include areas along the Thames, on individual bridges, and on the south side of the river behind the London Eye. Full details are available on the New Year's Eve fireworks website.

Anyone without a ticket is advised not to travel to the area on the night, as you won't be able to get anywhere near the display.

See the London New Year's Eve fireworks website for full details and to buy tickets when they go on sale.
