Donald Trump: State Visit To London In June 2019?
Donald Trump Teflon Don

A State Visit from Donald Trump is on the cards.

Rumours are circulating that the US President will return to the capital in June 2019. Unlike his July 2018 'working visit', this occasion would see a full-on State Visit.

The tourist shops will be hoping to shift some of these

His previous presidential experience of London is limited to an overnight stay at Winfield House, the US Ambassador's residence in Regent's Park (where a noise protest was held). A State Visit would usually involve more fanfare, with gun salutes, a Royal banquet at the Palace, and a very public procession down the Mall.

Protests are guaranteed. The President continues to court controversy over numerous policy decisions, his attitude towards minorities and women, his fast and loose communications, and his creative handling of facts.

Mr Trump's rumoured visit would coincide with the 75th anniversary of the D-Day landings. The President is then expected to travel to France to continue the commemorations. An official announcement is expected shortly.
