Vegan cheesemonger La Fauxmagerie opens a new store in east London this week.

The sisters behind the business, Rachel and Charlotte Stevens, launched their first store in Brixton in February 2019, selling plant-based cheeses, along with breads, relishes and other standard cheesemonger fodder.

They've now outgrown that store. Queues regularly extend out the door. The new premises is four times the size of the current shop.

The new La Fauxmagerie is at 20 Cheshire Street (just off Brick Lane) and opens on Saturday 6 July 2019. Alongside the range of dairy-free cheeses, the store plans to hold events including cheese and (vegan) wine pairings. Not bad for a business that's only been up and running for five months.

Sadly, the Brixton store has closed, as the rent prices are too high for both stores to remain open.
