Let's face it — London drains your bank account. Fast. So any chance you get to claim a freebie should be seized upon. We've sorted through the best deals the capital has to offer to bring you everywhere you can feed and water yourself for free this week.

Pasty party

Have a free lunch on Ginsters.

Purveyors of packaged pasties Ginsters are bringing the tastes, sounds, and smells of its native Cornwall to the South Bank for an epic free picnic. Plug into sea shanties or the dulcet tomes of Cornish seagulls using their wireless headphones and tuck into the flaky deliciousness.

Bernie Spain Gardens (Southbank), 11am-4pm, Wednesday 8 August

Free curry and beer (yes, really)

And because They're also throwing in a Braybrooke Keller Lager to wash down all that spice. All punters need to do to claim their free nosh is head to their Goodge Street outlet from 5pm on Thursday and quote the code 'Thali with me'. Hurry, though — they've only 50 trays to give away.
