Are you a flan of all things sweet? A festival dedicated to desserts is heading to the capital this summer.
London Dessert Festival pitches up at the Truman Brewery in August for a sugary celebration. Although few details have been released so far, the event is undeniably aimed at the Instagram crowds — we're promised a "feast for the eyes (and iPhones!)" with Instagrammable walls and themed rooms. Food photography workshops will soon be available to book, and make-up artists are offering up styles inspired by desserts.
Such touches may prove something of a red flag for anyone more concerned about what their food actually tastes like, rather than how many likes it drags in and how, er, jelly it makes your mates.
But, if you're OK pudding up with all those Instagrammers, rumour has it there's plenty of eating to be done too, with brands from across the UK offering up macaron ice cream sandwiches, frozen s’mores, cookie shots, cereal cocktails and other sugary treats.
Vegan and healthy option desserts are available, and the festival's Facebook page has hinted at events including a chance to design and create your own puddings, dessert art installations, and cake decorating workshops.
