Coming to King's Cross in 2020, a new bar and food hall called Goods Way.
Located, not by chance, on the road called Goods Way, this new venture will nestle up against the previously announced music venue Lafayette.
At the heart of the space, The Courtyard will "play host to a small, carefully curated selection of fast-rising and experienced chefs and exciting new dining enterprises".
Perhaps wary of being painted as yet-another trendy food hall, the concept is badged as an 'all-day culinary space' in the press release. Breddos Tacos and The Duck Truck are the first outlets to be announced.
The complex will also include a New Orleans-inspired bar called Sweetwater, not to be confused with the under-construction neighbourhood, one stop away on the Javelin train. Both bar and food stops will help cater for gig-goers at Lafayette, but will also be a welcoming space for anyone passing by.
Lafayette and Goods Way are the creation of Venue Group, founded by Ben Lovett of Mumford & Sons, and best known for running the popular Flat Iron Square hangout in Borough.
Whether 'food hall', 'culinary space' or 'that foodie place near the canal', Goods Way joins an already buzzy collection of venues in the regenerated railway lands behind King's Cross.
