With just a couple of months until it opens, five of the traders taking up residences KERB's new Seven Dials food market have been revealed.
Club Mexicana, Yum Bun, INK, Square Root and Rice Guys will all have a presence at the Covent Garden foodie hub, which opens in early September. All five businesses are female-founded — as is KERB itself, which was started by Petra Barran in 2012.
Club Mexicana specialises in entirely vegan Mexican street food, while Yum Bun serves up steamed buns and INK is a chippy with a difference, blending Asian flavours and British traditions in its fried fish dishes. Chinese rice bowls are the order of the day at Rice Guys and you can wash it all down with botanical, seasonal sodas from Square Root.
Club Mexicana, Yum Bun and Square Root have been KERB traders since its early days. INK and Rice Guys have come through the inKERBator, a platform which offers support to fledgling street food businesses.
The new market is KERB's first permanent site, located on Short's Gardens, and doubling up as KERB HQ. A total of 26 food businesses will call the 23,000sq ft former banana warehouse home.

We strive to work closely with our traders, aiming to provide so much more than just a piece of pavement to trade from - Seven Dials Market is our next step in driving forward this industry and giving our street food start-ups a whole new platform on which to thrive.
Seven Dials Market will be open from brunch to dinner, with florists, bakers and other producers selling items to take home, alongside the street food dishes to be eaten on site.
