London Locations Spotted In Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald Trailer

Here's our guide to the best Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald launch events in London.

The Potter-worshipping universe went mad when the final trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald landed. Us? We went mad too, but for very different reasons: spotting the London locations the film has used.

Much of the film was shot at Warner Bros Leavesden Studios but the spots used in on-location scenes were kept extremely secret, for fear of fans turning up and swarming the set. What we do know is that Highgate Cemetery was used as a location, despite the fact that the majority of the film's action seems to be set in Paris.

But now the trailer's dropped, it seems there's more London in the film than meets the eye. Take a look:

Let's take a closer look at the London-y bits. First up, London buses:

We'd be willing to bet that at least some of these vehicles were on loan from the excellent London Bus Museum, which also supplied vintage vehicles for the upcoming Mary Poppins Returns.

Next up, we're given the briefest of flashes of Leadenhall Market, dressed up to look like a French market in the throws of some sort of wizarding chaos — not the first time the building's featured in Rowling's Harry Potter franchise.

Finally, is that St Paul's we spy, with Jude Law and Eddie Redmayne teetering on the roof? A bit of cross-referencing with the nearby building confirms that it is indeed Wren's dome — although presumably it was filmed with CGI rather than in real life.
