Train beers. Two of the most delicious words in the English language.

Nothing makes a long rail journey fly by like a can or two of craft beer. But instead of settling with the limited selection available at the station shops, how about buying directly from the source?

Metroland: the ideal beer for a train journey

Two Tribes Brewhouse & Taproom hits the sweet spot: it's a short walk from King's Cross St Pancras. But it's also hidden away on an estate that’s home to Tileyard London — Europe's largest community of creative industries — meaning that people only find it if they really want to. Oh yes, and they brew rather excellent beer here

We'll take one of these too

Before your train from King's Cross or St Pancras departs, call in at Two Tribes and pick up a couple of cans of Metroland (a citrusy session IPA, named after the famous London Underground expansion of the 1920s). Or maybe the new gluten-free offering, PowerPlant — a natural lager packed with plenty of flavour.

These are lovingly-brewed beers, crafted on site. The arty cans look pretty awesome too (maybe they'll help you strike up a conversation with the person next to you on the train).

And if you don't have a train to catch? Well then you can just stay and enjoy the party. The taproom is open Tuesday-Saturday, serving up a dizzying array of Two Tribes and guest beers — plus wine and cocktails.

There's always a party atmosphere at Two Tribes

There are often DJs and live music too. A party atmosphere, just far enough away from the main drag of pubs and bars.

Oh and need we say... the transport links are excellent.
