Hunt The Snowman! Christmas Art Trail Coming To London Bridge City

A sculptural trail with a festive twist comes to London, in the shape of The Snowman.

Over the Christmas period, 12 giant sculptures of Raymond Briggs's The Snowman will be placed throughout the London Bridge City area*. (The photos here are from a previous trail in Manchester.)

Each Snowman has been decorated by an artist to represent one of the 12 Days of Christmas. Kids will love tracking down the beloved character, while adults will curse the inevitable Aled Jones earworm.

The sculpture trail is part of the wider Christmas by the River, which sees wooden cabins, festive food and drink and gift stalls, all with river views.

The fair also hosts three family-oriented workshops, including a storytelling session (you can guess the story), and two crafting sessions where your little ones can make snow globes and nightlights.

The trail is presented by Wild in Art in partnership with Penguin Ventures. It runs throughout London Bridge City from 26 November 2019 to 5 January 2020. More details will appear on the London Bridge City website in due course.

*For those who can't keep up with place-making trends, that's the bit of town between London Bridge station and the river, including City Hall and its environs.
