A First Look At This Year's Spectacular Christmas At Kew Light Trail
The newly-restored Temperate House features in the trail for the first time.

Honestly, we're running out of ways to tell you how flippin' fantastic Christmas at Kew is. Every year, we think the stunning festive light trail can't possibly top the previous year's offerings... and every year, it floors us.

Suffice to say, Christmas at Kew 2019 is the best year yet, with a new route through the botanical gardens, a stunning new waterfall of light, and the return of old favourites such as the light tunnel and the holograms and laser show over the lake. We'll shut up now, and let the pictures do the talking... although they can't do justice to seeing it in person, with a perfectly choreographed soundtrack and the smell of mulled wine lingering in the air.

The oh-so-Instagrammable light tunnel is back... and yes, we Instagrammed it.
A 'waterfall' of light cascades from the Treetop Walkway.
Why have one light tunnel, when you can have two?
The laser show finale is as spectacular as ever.
Get lost in a maze of dangling, colour-changing vines.
Those vines, seen from afar.
The fire garden is back this year.
Get used to it... it'll be all over Instagram this winter.
Simple but effective.
Toadstools? Snails? Who knows, but there are thousands of them.

Christmas at Kew 2019 takes place at Kew Gardens, 20 November 2019-5 January 2020. Tickets need to be bought in advance (and are over 90% sold out at time of writing, so be quick).
