For a more British affair, be wowed by the all-star cast in Quartet, Dustin Hoffman's debut film as a director — the story set in a home for retired musicians won Hoffman a Breakthrough Directing award in 2013.
After a heart-warming family film? Roald Dahl's Esio Trot, which Hoffman starred in alongside the equally impressive Judi Dench, will make you fall in love with him all over again. It's a far cry from his first major role in The Graduate, but just as fun to watch.
