A Gelato Festival Is Coming To London

This is a sponsored article on behalf of Gelato Festival, supported by ICE - Italian Trade Commission.

A whole festival dedicated to the good stuff is coming to London.

Gelato is much more than the Italian for 'ice cream'. This is a denser, smoother and richer ice cream with incredibly intense flavours. Is your mouth watering yet?

This month you'll be able to sample the sweet Italian speciality as the Gelato Festival returns to London for its second edition from 24 June-3 July.

Even better, Londonist readers get £4 discount on the Gelato Card. Get it for £13 instead of £17. Use the code Londonist13 at the checkout.

Gelato masters from all over Italy will bring specially converted gelato trucks to Old Spitalfields market for the London leg of a European tour through 10 cities in six months.

Unique flavours have been created for the festival, including savoury, boozy and classic combinations.

As well as mountains of gelato to cram into your mouth, there'll be a gelato laboratory and an event space, where you can learn everything you ever needed to know about the icy treat.

Entry to the festival is free, but you can buy a gelato card in advance (£17, or £13 with the above offer) which will get you a taster of all the flavours available, and a chance to participate in unlimited gelato masterclasses throughout the week.

Impossible to resist, huh?

The Gelato Festival, supported by ICE - Italian Trade Commission, takes place at Old Spitalfields Market, 109 Commercial Street, E1 6BG. 24 June-2 July: midday-8pm, 3 July: midday-7pm.

Use the code Londonist13 and get a Gelato Card for £13 instead of £17. Offer valid until 23 June.
