Stampeding through a zoo is usually left to elephants, rhino and the like, but humans are being invited to do just that at London Zoo in April.
The ZSL London Zoo Stampede is a 10k fundraising run taking place on a route through the Zoo and out into Regent's Park. Whether you're closer matched to the speed of a cheetah or a tortoise, runners and joggers of all abilities are encouraged to take part.
Runners are asked to raise a minimum of £50 in sponsorship money. All funds raised will be used to help the Zoological Society of London's wildlife conservation projects around the world, including the protection of endangered species such as pangolins and rhinos.
Can't convince your friends and family to take part? They can still help to raise money for the cause — spectator tickets will be available on the ZSL website soon.
ZSL London Zoo Stampede takes place on 17 April 2016. Registration is £34 (which includes entry into the zoo, a medal and a goody bag for all finishers) with a £50 fundraising target. Can't make 17 April? The Stampede is repeated in September.
