Anyone who visited Covent Garden in September will have come across the magical installation of balloons by Charles Petillon. A section of those trademark balloons have now drifted over to Magda Danysz, a gallery which opened a branch in Fitzrovia last year.

Petillon's traditional medium is photography and this is the focus of Invasions but balloons feature in all of his works. They can be seen floating in a forest, pouring out of a telephone booth and bursting out of the windows and door of a house.

There is something magical about Petillon's works and we love their fantastical surrealism. Here's a selection of our exhibition favourites.

Our favourite work is this home invasion. Copyright Charles Petillon.
