Londonist is proud media partner to 1000 Londoners Movie Nights
On yer bike! Another set of freewheeling documentaries about London folk skids into cinemas across town next week as 1000 Londoners presents its new programme of short films: Easy Riders.
Following a look at nocturnal Londoners last week, this new batch of films focuses on life on two wheels, with eight documentaries interspersed with archive footage. You’ll meet Friedel the rickshaw driver, a 50-something German who’s spent six years transporting people around the West End, Jay — who beat drug addiction to become British Supermoto champion, 65 year old mod/rocker John, and an all-girl biker gang who ride out of Limehouse.

There'll be discussions and Q&As with the filmmakers along with clips demonstrating the evolution of London’s cycle culture from the 1930s to the 1980s. The screenings are a wheely good price at £5 each at these venues:

- Deptford Cinema on 18 November, 7pm, £5
- Stow Film Lounge, Walthamstow on 19 November, 7pm, £5
- Hotel Elephant, Elephant and Castle on 20 November, 7pm, £5
The screenings are part of the BFI’s Britain On Film season and are supported by Film Hub London with Londonist as media partner.
