London Christmas Gift Guide: Bringing London Home Edition

Know someone who's just moved home, or is looking to jazz up their pad, London-style? These London homewares will make the ideal Christmas gifts, bringing the city home via the medium of artwork, lampshades, bed linen and more.

Prints and canvases of various aspects of London aren't hard to find, but we've really taken a shine to this one. What initially looks like a beautiful hand-drawn map of the city is in fact a map of Lost London — once-prominent features of the city tha no longer exist, including Crystal Palace and the old incarnation of St Paul's Cathedral. Also included is information about each of the lost gems.
Lost London Map, £36

Splash out on a friend who wants to pimp up their pad with this light-up roundel. At 40cm across, it's not quite life-size, but still, we wouldn't recommend that anyone hang it outside their house, just in case.
Underground Light Sign, £88.40

Pay homage to the humble London brick with this glazed earthenware vase. It's true to size, and doesn't have to be used as a vase if your acquaintance isn't the floral type (pen holder, kitchen utensil holder... the possibilities are endless). Why not print this off and give it to them too.
London Brick Vase, £35

Let the light guide you down the right path — this lampshade doubles up as a map of central London, complete with compass detail so you know which way is up.
London Map Lampshade, £12.99

Illustrator and designer Charlene Mullen has teamed up with Royal Doulton to create a London-themed dinnerware range. We reckon this large platter, featuring the London Eye and St Paul's, is perfect for whipping out when friends and family visit during Twixtmas, or for that all-important New Year's Eve party.
London Calling Large Platter, £25

So the night tube may or may not be coming anytime soon, but that shouldn't stop your tube-loving friend from sleeping on the Underground... sort of. One side of this bedding set is a map of the central section of the tube map, while the reverse is replete with stripes in the colours of the different tube lines. The effect is finished with a roundel on each pillow.
London Tube Map Bedding Set (Double), £12.99

For a more subtle London look, treat your giftee to a reminder of their favourite tube line, via the medium of a coat hook — or mix and match several lines for somewhere for the whole family to hang their garments. Although not pictured, the Hammersmith & City, and Waterloo & City lines are also available.
Tube Line Coat Hook, £12
