Video: A Drone Flythrough Of Crossrail's Tunnels

Take a flying trip through Crossrail's tunnel system in this drone footage, released by the company to mark the completion of the network's tunnelling phase.

Crossrail tunnelling began in the summer of 2012 and ended at Farringdon with the break-through of tunnelling machine Victoria. Eight 1,000-tonne tunnelling machines have bored 26 miles of new 6.2m diameter rail tunnels under the capital.

Construction is also advancing on the 10 new Crossrail stations and on works above ground west of Paddington and east of Stratford.

It'll be three years before the trains start running on the network, so take a first travel through on the above video.
