Fancy Watching Jaws From A Dinghy In A Lido?

A screening at One New Change shopping centre

London's film screening companies are becoming ever more creative in their screening locations. After the announcement of Rooftop Film Club's biggest ever summer last week, Luna Cinema has announced its outdoor screening for the summer — and it's a big 'un.

Luna Cinema has picked 18 venues across London, from Alexandra Palace in the north, to Swanley out east, and Hampton Court Palace in the west. City centre cinephiles can head to the rooftop of One New Change for sweeping rooftop views, while intrepid filmgoers can watch Jaws from the, erm, safety of a dinghy floating in Brockwell Lido (premium seats only).

Watch classic films and lively musicals among the flowers at Kew Gardens, or enjoy the stately surroundings of Kensington Palace. Find your nearest screening on the venue map. The season runs 23 May-27 September, with a few dates at each venue.

All screenings begin at sunset, so it's worth bringing a couple of extra layers for warmth, this being England and all. Audiences can bring their own food and drink to screenings (picnic blankets also recommended), but all venues have food available to buy and a full bar on site.

Ticket prices range from £13.50-£20 for adults and from £9  £13.50 for children. All need booking. Premium tickets are available at all screenings, which include a seat, a drink at the Luna Bar and a gift bag.
