Street Art: Stik And Thierry Noir Paint Up Village Underground

The oft-painted back wall of Village Underground in Shoreditch got a new coat last week, as artists Thierry Noir and Stik teamed up for this colourful mural. Noir is a well-known French artist, most famous for painting large sections of the Berlin Wall. Stik is, of course, a familiar London street artist. Both specialise in simplified human faces and figures, so the collaboration is a natural one.

You can hear Thierry Noir speak about his work today in the basement of Tramshed, 32 Rivington Street. The talk has been hastily put together in the past 24 hours, following the successful event at Somerset House last Thursday — just turn up for 3pm. Entrance is free.

The painting and talk were both arranged by Street Art London.
