What's Going On At Molten Festival 2012?

Following a launch on Barking beach yesterday, Molten Festival fills the rest of the week with free arts, activities and performance around Barking town centre.

Tuesday: Watch local dance company ‘Far From The Norm’ perform Optic Venture throughout the day at the Broadway Theatre.

Take a Twilight Walking tour of Barking Town Centre from 5.50pm.

Wednesday: Create sculpture with a musical theme at an art workshop in Barking Learning Centre Gallery between 10am-3pm.

Watch inclusive dance troupe Dance4All perform at the Broadway Theatre at 1.30pm.

Thursday: Celebrate the Best of Barking visiting its 7th Century Abbey, Elizabeth Fry’s resting place and the site of the largest fishing fleet in England with Eastside Community Heritage's walking tour at 10.30am.

Express your feelings about London 2012 with Orly Orbach in Barking Learning Centre helping to create the commemorative artwork Molten Bench.

Friday: What do disabled adults think of Barking? Find out with a short film and Q&A in the Learning Centre from 1-4pm.

Admire the beauty of Barking with a son et lumière walk starting and finishing at Barking Bathhouse from 6pm.

Saturday: It's Showtime Saturday with musical performances, arts and crafts workshops, mayhem and magic from Circumloqui, street performance from Picto Facto, Leandre the street clown and an electrifying climax with Arcadia Lords of Lightning in Barking Town Square.

Sunday: Bandstand Marathon marks the end of this year's Molten with local musicians performing in Barking Park from 1-5pm.
