Not ones to let seasonal occasions pass by unremarked - any excuse to dress up - Bring Stuff have teamed up with fellow fancy dressers, Celebrity Murder Party and the Harlots to bring you a post-Halloween extravaganza Bring Dreams and Nightmares. Think good and evil, naughty and nice, righteous and disgusting. We know you can. This is carte blanche to go out looking horrific and, even though it's a charity fundraiser at just £10......

Londonist arrived at Harvest Twestival a little late last night but was, nonetheless, overwhelmed by the party atmosphere and by the sheer number of attendees. The event was gleeful, tipsy and (we can only imagine) the first of many more high profile Twitter-inspired events in London (all promoting, RSVPing etc was conducted via the micro-blogging site extraordinaire, Twitter). Held a few steps from Trafalgar Square at Doon (Albannach’s swank downstairs bar, this “tweet-up with......

Where will you be at that 'olympic handover moment' on the afternoon of 24 August when London becomes the next Summer host city? At Notting Hill Carnival? At the huge Buckingham Palace party with 40,000 others and, er, Will Young? Or watching (and possibly drinking) at one of London's open-air big screens or inside a pub? Wherever you are, you are likely to see video clips of people having a bit of a laugh.......

Ken Livingston's vision of driving a Routemaster to Beijing as a 2012 promotional exercise may have been ditched as a total waste of time and money because of the Sichuan earthquake but the bus itself is still in line to be the star of the handover ceremony at the end of this summer's Games. In fact, it's already on it's way in a container ship. As for the spangly ceremonials, as per the rumours,......

We love our Flickr friends, we really do. Where would we be without our obliging and outrageously talented photographer friends happy to share their work with us in the Londonist Flickr pool and be sent off on snap happy adventures once in a while? How marvellous then to see one of ours making good. Chutney Bannister's been a Londonist stalwart for some time and was one of our earliest Londonist Behind The Lens-ers. He's......

Have you heard? Boris is banning booze on all London transport come the first of June! Do you care? Many of your fellow Londoners do! And they’re planning parties to prove it. Grassroots campaigns both to bid adieu to booze cruising on the Tube and to openly flout the new ban are sprouting up all over – where else? – Facebook. Garnering the most attention is James Darling’s Last Orders on the Underground. The......

There have been big changes at Londonist this year - we've had new staff, a new commenting system and a brand new tagging system installed so we had a lot to celebrate at the Christmas party. And as we're not keen on making trouble for ourselves, only for other people, we thought we would go to a party already arranged for us; last night a hearty party of Londonistas headed off to the Barbican......

This weekend column is brought to you by the founders of Niceties Tokens, Liz and Pete of Team Nice. 25. Fancy that Last night was the third niceties tokens party. Our one-year birthday. It was a really fun night, and because Team Nice teamed up with Bring Stuff (meet ups and social events with a fancy dress theme) guests where requested to bring hats and wigs to wear and share. The atmosphere in the......
