Super cool Tuesday night club White Heat has a particularly fun sounding line-up tonight at Madame JoJo's on Brewer Street. From 8.30 London pow pow! kids /The Clik Clik will bounce their way through a set before girly space warriors Poppy and The Jezebels pull some mystical shapes. Then recent Listen Up! stars XX Teens round it all off with songs from their new album. £6 on the door from 8pm - Mdme Jo......

Editors start a three night residency at Brixton Academy on Monday (17.50, here) but the real treat has to be Reading's squelchy electro boys Does It Offend You Yeah? shuffling their stuff at Barfly. Campy London trio Palladium are at Madame JoJos (£7, here and dreamy Canadian shoegazers Stars play The Scala . With four of our favourite new bands in town this week, it is a grand time to be heading out and checking out some live music. Friday: Until we get our own band together, Fuckshovel remain the best named band in Britain. And other places. We'll be bringing you more from the 'shovel next month but in the meantime come on down to The Peel in Kingston for about 7.30 for a couple of......

Re-reading this before putting it live, we're struck by how many very fine gigs and events there are on this week (as well as how bad our spelling is) and that's just the ones we know about. Promise us you'll go to at least one of them. We're sure you'll have a good time. Tonight: LA singer / songwriter, and one half of folk duo the Les Shelleys, Angela Correa will be at the......
