Trinity Arms

Trinity Arms

Part of our Best Pubs in London microsite. See if we've included your local.

A Young's pub in the backstreets of Brixton, the Trinity Arms is a relaxing and cosy option, with a handsome interior and decent-sized beer garden (described as 'hidden', but judging by its popularity of an evening, not hidden very well).

The website tells us that the pub is 'named after the Trinity Asylum in Acre Lane which was founded for poor women who professed belief in the Holy Trinity'. No religious declarations are necessary in here, however, just a love of a relaxed pint in decent surroundings. It's not exactly your typical Brixton pub, but sometimes you need to get away from all the bustle.

A recent makeover has seen the pub updated with the bold greens, blues and purples typical of the re-jigged Young's house. It's retained its cosy charm. This is a good place for a quiet, intimate conversation, with drinkers separated into a number of smaller rooms and spaces rather than shouting out over a shared space.

Three parts of the pub can be hired for private functions, including the snug, the garden and the first-floor 'Bowie Room'.
