Prince Albert

Prince Albert

This pub was chosen editorially for inclusion by Londonist.

Standing guard over the western edges of Battersea Park, the Prince Albert is trenchantly Victorian in both appearance and name. Inside, however, his sizeable boozer is decked out in the contemporary and familiar livery of a Geronimo Inns pub. You've seen it all before — from the olive green walls to the cloth-covered seats, to the tie-in with Young's ales, but there's no denying that the formula works. Here, the format gets some breathing space with humorous chalk boards and a very nice outdoor area. Another hallmark of the chain is for superior pub grub, and this place is no exception, with the option to sit in a separate dining area or use the main bar space.
