Londonist Out Loud: A Podcast About London, 29 November 2013

Welcome to the latest episode of Londonist Out Loud, a podcast about London, as recently recommended by The Telegraph.

You can listen in-browser, or subscribe via iTunes or RSS. We’re also available on Stitcher.

Londonist Out Loud is presented and produced by N Quentin Woolf. In this week's podcast, NQW speaks to some members of the team working on the Canning Town Caravanserai: Cany Ash, Mitesh Chauhan, Semra Ekinci and Kerry Dragon.

Traditionally, a caravanserai was a roadside trading post where travellers could stop for rest after a long day's journey. The Canning Town Caravanserai has taken this idea of a travellers' hub and turned it into an urban community space, complete with performances, workshops, art, gardens and trading opportunities.

The group speaks about the work they do, how it all began and what visitors can find in the space.

Find out more about the Canning Town Caravanserai via their website or @CTCaravanserai on Twitter.
