London Just Got A Second Hard Rock Café
The new Rock Shop is the biggest of its kind. Expect Hard Rock tees and Union Flags galore

This'll be music to the ears of anyone who likes burgers and generic t shirts: a second Hard Rock Café has opened in London.

The new café, at 225-229 Piccadilly, features a digital ceiling that 'cascades' over a staircase; curved video tiles blasting out music videos; and tube station-themed dining booths.

Memorabilia on show include items once belonging to Freddie Mercury, David Bowie and Amy Winehouse — alongside those of today’s pop sensations (think Ed Sheeran, Ellie Goulding, Charlie XCX).

Cedar plank salmon: a new dish exclusive to the café

The new café's 7,500m2  'Rock Shop' claims to be the biggest of its kind anywhere, although let's face it, most people are just going to buy those ubiquitous tees.

This is the 185th franchise of the global brand, and follows the recent opening of a 1,000-room Hard Rock Hotel in Marylebone.

The world's first Hard Rock Café was founded in Mayfair, London in 1971 — and remains open today.
