Win A Pair Of Tickets For A Unique Tour Of London's Own Sistine Chapel

This is a sponsored article on behalf of Old Royal Naval College.

If you don't fancy trekking all the way to Italy to see Michelangelo's masterpiece, why not take a look at London's answer to the Sistine Chapel? The painted ceiling at the Old Royal Naval College is a worthy rival, and as part of the conservation works, visitors can get up close to the artwork on a unique ceiling tour.

There are three pairs of tickets to be won for this unique experience. If you've got a head for heights, enter below to be in with a chance of being one of the lucky ones.

The Painted Hall is the highlight of the Old Royal Naval College, but often the ceiling doesn't get as much attention as it deserves. This new tour allows visitors to ascend a 60ft high observation deck and take in the drama and detail of the artwork like never before.

This is the largest painted ceiling in Britain, with artwork dating from between 1707 and 1726. After all that time, it needs a little sprucing up.

The current conservation project currently aims to restore the paintings to their former glory. Over the next two years, conservators will work on 40,000 sq ft of paintings. Take advantage of the decks they've built to do this, and check out this 60 minute tour — hardhats required.

Londonist readers have the chance to win one of three pairs of tickets for this Painted Hall Ceiling Tour (usually £10 a pop) — simply enter below to be in with a chance. Alternatively, you can book your own tickets here.
