This Is Why You Should Absolutely Put Spitalfields City Farm On Your To-Do List

Hamish the pygmy goat, Derek the donkey, Watson and Holmes the kunekune pigs. No, we're not in a beloved children's television programme, we're simply in east London.

Spitalfields City Farm was set up in 1978 by a team of hard-working volunteers and continues today as a truly delightful inner-city oasis, serving the community. Alongside your new furry companions there are also plenty of green spaces to enjoy including a wildlife garden, plant nursery and a vegetable patch. It is such a charming escape, it can be hard to believe it's the closest city farm to London's Square Mile.

Perfect for animal-lovers, families, outdoor fanatics or just anyone looking for a bit of peace and quiet, Spitalfields City Farm is deserving of your love. Here are some of the residents you can expect to meet on your visit...

Visit Spitalfields City Farm at Buxton Street, E1 5AR. It is open 10am-4pm daily (closed Mondays) and free to visit (although donations towards the upkeep are very welcome). Make sure to visit the website for upcoming events, family activities and news from the farm.
