Video: Emily Wilding Davison And The Suffragette Banner

This video explores the lives of some of the suffragettes whose names are stitched their names of a hunger strike banner. Emily Wilding Davison is by far the most famous; she was struck down when she attempted to pin a badge on the King's horse at the Epsom Derby. Others on the banner include women who had given up promising careers, to fight for their right to vote. The banner is on display at the Museum of London and the video is narrated by one of their curators Beverley Cook.
