Piccadilly Circus might be one of London's most iconic tube stations. It's also used by over 40 million passengers each year. But that doesn't mean it's not hiding a secret or two up its sleeve.

Hidden London's latest subterranean tour promises to take you behind Piccadilly Circus's clandestine doors, to passageways and lift shafts closed to the public since 1929.

On the 75-minute tour you'll get to ogle original Edwardian design features, learn how the station was used to stash priceless objects during the second word war, and how it was modernised between 1925 and 1928 by the great Charles Holden.

Piccadilly Circus: The Heart of London tours take place 21 August-27 September 2019. Tickets (priced £41.50) go on general sale on 19 July, although you can get a day's head-start if you sign up to the London Transport Museum newsletter.
