The tube map is a masterpiece, sure — but it's always lacked one thing in our opinion. The ability to play it. Now someone's come along and set that straight with a tube-themed board game.

So how does it work? Well you need between two and six players, and five six-sided dice. Then, each player has a printout of the above map, and it's a points-based sprint to see who can conquer the entire map first. Things are obviously a little more complex than that — you can read up on the rules here.

It's worth noting that this isn't an exact replica of the tube map. Things had to be adapted to make the game work — sorry, Waterloo & City line.

The game is the creation of David King, a lecturer in games design and physical computing at University of the Arts London: London College of Communication. His blog, Practice Theory Play, is dedicated to thinking up new games, like this wonderful invention.

Do give it a go, and let us know in the comments below how you get along.
