Sit In The Middle Of Regent Street This Sunday

Sitting down in the middle of Regent Street is usually the act of a madperson. But for the next three Sundays (9, 16 and 23 July), you can do just that — without anyone batting an eyelid.

From Oxford Street to Piccadilly Circus, Regent Street is enjoying traffic-free Sundays as part of Summer Streets.

And there's more to do than pull up a chair/patch of Astroturf. There are complimentary workshops in tassels, macramé, and floristry & potting; a beehive (yup, Regent Street has its own honey), street food from some of the Street's top restaurants, and live music.

There's also a 'meditation bus'  — and seeing as it's stationary, we're not going to count it as traffic.

Regent Street Summer Streets is on 9, 16 and 23 July. Entry is free.
