Just a short note to alert you to a superb, inexpensive set of talks coming up in October. We're talking £5 for a full day (or £12.50 for three days) of talks from the likes of Dan Cruickshank, Rachel Lichtenstein, the Gentle Author and Imam Ajmal Masoor.
Whitechapel History Fest is a three-day exploration of the area's rich history. It marks the end of a three-year Survey of London project on the area, which produced this rather astounding map. The event is held in the Whitechapel Idea Store, and will feature talks by residents, historians and film-makers on all aspects of the area's past, present and future. See you there.
