Theatre Review: Hair

Half a century after it debuted in the US, the return of Hair to a London stage is a riotous affair. Quite a few of the references are more dated than a mullet but there are sentiments here that will never go out of style. Sure, the songbook could do with a trim and the direction is occasionally shaggy as all hell but there are some spiky performances from the mostly-male leads and the choreography is buzzcut-sharp. It's not the tease or shocker it was when it first came out, but — thanks to some very catchy numbers like the title track, Age Of Aquarius and Let The Sunshine In — you'll be bouncing all the way home.
