The French 'Spiderman' Just Scaled The 230m-Tall Heron Tower

The self-proclaimed French 'Spiderman' has caused chaos in the City of London, after scaling the 230 metre-tall Heron Tower.

Police announced road closures in the area around 110 Bishopsgate, after 56 year-old Alain Robert was seen scaling to the top of the building β€” an ascent which took him around 50 minutes to complete, and which he later nonchalantly described as a "medium climb."

Amazed bystanders did what amazed bystanders do these days, and captured the climb on their camera phones.

Some caught footage of Roberts from inside the Heron Tower.

Robert has previously completed illegal climbs of other iconic buildings, including the world's tallest β€” the Burj Khalifa in Dubai. He doesn't used any ropes or climbing aids β€” just his bare hands, and utter fearlessness.
