Fancy Spending Bonfire Night In A Hotel Room At The Top Of The Shard?

What's the best vantage point to watch the fireworks on Bonfire night? Some opt for a famed London high spot, like Primrose Hill. Others watch from their rooftops and balconies. For some, they just go to a small local display in a quiet corner of suburbia. This year, two lucky people will be able to see it all.

Booking.com is turning a room at the top of the Shard into a hotel for just one night, Bonfire night. The evening will begin with a three course meal inspired by Bonfire night (presumably a lot of charred meat is involved), a chance to enjoy the fireworks from the Shard's viewing platform, and finally you'll go to sleep in Western Europe's highest bedroom.

All you need to do to win is to say what a stay in Western Europe's highest bedroom would mean to you. Oh and you'll need a whole lot of luck.

Booking.com describes the experience as once in a lifetime and money-can't-buy, something that we'd like to pedantically dispute. There are luxury apartments at the top of the Shard that people can buy if they so wish to. They're a snip at £50 million; it's a real shocker they haven't been bought yet.
