10 shortlisted designs for the UK Holocaust Memorial have been revealed.

The memorial will be erected in Victoria Tower Gardens, next to the Houses of Parliament, and will function as a learning centre as well as a tribute to victims and survivors of Nazi persecution.

British sculptor Anish Kapoor and Zaha Hadid Architects have teamed up to design a sculpture resembling a giant meteorite, incorporating a grove of cypress trees, symbolising hope and growth:

The 10 designs have been shortlisted from a total of 92 entries, with a winner due to be announced in Summer 2017.
