Are you lucky enough to own a Daschund? If so we're incredibly jealous, but more importantly here's something that'll get your Dachshund's tail a-wagging. For one day only, the team that brought you Pug Cafe are inviting the sausage dogs of London to Paternoster Square for a classy canine shindig — and they can bring their humans, too.

On Sunday 19 August, cocktail bar The Happenstance transforms into The Dachshund Cafe. You can expect quite the spread, with treats including pup cakes, dognuts, and pawbons fresh from the Rudi The Doggy Bakery. Complimentary pupuccinos and pupcorn round off the pun-fuelled menu.

There's also plenty on offer for their two-legged companions, including spritzes, champagne, and summer bites. Naturally, the puparrazzi will be lurking around, so make sure you and your hound are photo-ready.

Dogless dachshund die-hards are still welcome, so even if you don't have pooch to call your own, you can get in on the action. Just don't blame us if, in a post-puppy party haze of emotion, you find yourself trawling the Battersea Dogs website at 3am in search of a new four-legged friend.
