A peculiar site greets anyone gazing up at the Elizabeth Tower today. The famous clock, popularly known as Big Ben*, is hand-less.
The giant hands are being removed as part of the tower's ongoing maintenance. The bongs were stopped in 2017 and now amputation has been added to its woes.
If you want to get a rare snap of the dismembered clock, get along quick. The missing arms will be replaced with temporary ones soon.
