'Copy Our Social Network And We'll Copy Your Office', Facebook Tells Google

Seven years after Google+ belatedly borrowed Facebook's idea for a social network, Facebook has rustled up its revenge: by borrowing Google's plan for an HQ in King's Cross.

"King's Cross was once notorious as a centre of prostitution. In just 20 years, it's gone from being the home of the base f**k, to the home of Facebook," boasted one senior executive.

"Oh, Google has an office here too?" he added, with a wry smile.

Rumours suggest that the social media behemoth is planning to erect a giant thumbs up directly outside of Google's front door.

"We just think it'd make a nice piece of public art, that's all," claimed a Facebook rep. "You know, like that massive thumbs up they had on the Fourth Plinth."

Upon reaching out to Google for comment, the firm requested that we get in contact via Google+. We're still trying to work out how to use it.
